We want all of the older people we help, our volunteers and anyone else involved in our work to feel safe, supported and confident. With our safeguarding policy and volunteer screening and training, you can be sure you are in safe hands.

Protecting you

Safety is our top priority at Really Care as we know it can be frightening to let a stranger into your home and your life. Really Care wants you to feel confident that anyone matched by Really Care will have been fully assessed for their suitability and trained in the role before their first visit.

All volunteer visitors will be fully screened and undergo an interview and induction process prior to starting. Ongoing training will be provided to keep all volunteers up to date with the latest requirements and guidance.

Safeguarding

Older people seeking support via Really Care may be in a particular vulnerable situation. We recognise the importance of training our volunteer visitors to be alert and able to identify and deal with any potential issues.

Our safeguarding policy includes risk assessments and DBS checks, where appropriate.
